Because the Ontario SPCA York Region Branch receives no direct funding from any level of government for local animal sheltering, each branch relies on the involvement and generosity of the community to care for thousands of homeless animals every year. 2nd Annual Doggie Easter Egg Hunt

Held on the grounds of the York Region Shelter

Ontario SPCA “Friends for Life” Walk-a-thon

Richmond Green Park, 1300 Elgin Mills Road, Richmond Hill

Bring your “Friend for Life” to show your support and raise funds for the less fortunate animals without a special friend.  Registration opens at 9:30 am with the walk beginning at 11am.  Following the walk enjoy a BBQ lunch by Maple Lodge Farms, participate in our “Best Dressed” or “Best Trick” contest!  Fun for all.  Online registration available by March 30, 2008.  Volunteers Needed!

Ontario SPCA “Fore” the Animals Golf Tournament

Kings Riding Golf Club, 15675 Dufferin Street, King City

Join the Ontario SPCA for our 8th annual “Fore” the Animals Golf Tournament at Kings Riding Golf Club a ClubLink Corporations course. Your day will start with a continental breakfast followed by an 8:30 am shotgun start and completed with lunch, prizes and a silent auction.

3rd Annual Yard Sale

On the York Region Branch shelter property from 9 am – 3 pm, daily.  Volunteers Needed!

Donations of yard sale items will be accepted starting August 1, 2008.

Tree of Hope - Upper Canada Mall Newmarket

Drop by the Ontario SPCA tree and hang a paw in honor or in memory of your pet, 10 am – 9 pm daily.  Volunteers Needed!

Save-A-Tape Fundraising Campaign

Ontario SPCA York Region Branch is participating in the Save-A-Tape Campaign run by several chains of grocery stores.

Please save your grocery receipts from Sobeys and send them to us. We will then count the receipts and send them to the appropriate grocery stores in return for a donation for the animals. Please try to bundle them in groups of $100.Need more info? Contact us at the numbers below.
